A total of 488 student-athletes, including 57 Buccaneers, have been named to the Sunshine State Conference Commissioner’s Honor Roll for the Spring 2007 semester, it was announced today by the conference office. Sixty-nine members of the Commissioner’s Honor Roll carried a perfect 4.0 GPA for the semester. Barry University had 10 members of the 4.0 club: Brittany Anderson (softball), Tony Bosken (men's golf), Lauren Kane (women's golf), Meredith Kane (women's golf), Amanda Mageean (women's basketball), Mario Martinez (baseball), Shyla Rider (softball), Brett Rossi (baseball), Johanna Soderstrom (women's golf) and Dirk Benninghaus (men's tennis).
To be eligible for the Commissioner’s Spring Honor Roll, a student-athlete must post a minimum grade point average of 3.20 on a scale of 4.0. Participants in men’s and women’s basketball, baseball, softball, men’s and women’s tennis, men’s and women’s golf, and women’s rowing are included in the honor roll.
