MIAMI SHORES, Fla.-- Barry University senior women's basketball guard Colette Eule was named to the College Sports Information Directors of America/Capital One Academic All-South Region Team released Thursday.
Eule, a 5-10 guard from Lutz, Fla., has a 3.87 GPA in biology. She has been a member of the university’s Dean’s List every semester and earned Sunshine State Conference Commissioner’s Honor Roll both seasons since transferring from the Air Force Academy.
Eule is second on the team this year in scoring, averaging 13.9 points per game while shooting 41.3 percent from three-point range and 86.8 percent from the line. She is second all-time at Barry in free throw percentage and third in three-point percentage.
She is now eligible for Academic All-American Team honors, which will be voted on next week.
The Capital One Academic All-District® Men's and Women's Basketball Teams, selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America, have recognized the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances athletically and in the classroom since 1952. Capital One has been the entitlement rights holder to CoSIDA's Academic All-America teams programs since 2011.
