Final Round
PALM BEACH, Fla. – RemiJin Camping (Sr., Hollywood, Fla.) finished at 11-over-par to pace the Barry University women’s golf team to a third-place finish in an 18-team field at the NSU Sharks Fall Invitational on Tuesday. The Buccaneers (+50) finished with a two-round score of 626 on the 6,000 yard, par 72 PGA National Course.
 
The top four teams hailed from the Sunshine State Conference with Rollins finishing 13 strokes ahead of the 18-team field with a two-round score of 596 (+20) to claim the team medalist honors. Host Nova Southeastern finished with a two-round score of 609 (+30) in second place, while Barry followed in third place. Florida Southern finished two strokes behind the Buccaneers in fourth place with a two-round score of 628 (+52) and Ferris State (+71) rounded out the top five.
 
Camping finished tied for 10th with a two-round score of 155 (+11) to lead the Buccaneers. Johanna Soderstrom finished T19 with a 157 two-round score, while Anna Haglind was third on the Barry team finishing T22 at 14-over-par (81-77=158). Cristina Coll (81-79=160) and Isadora Stapff (85-79=164) finished tied for 24th and 36th respectively in a field of 88 individuals.
 
Rollins’ Laura Fourdraine finished at the tournament individual medalist with a one-under-par 143 (72-71) score.
 
The Buccaneers will return to action and conclude the fall section of their season on Monday, Oct. 22 at the Saint Leo Fall Invitational hosted at Lake Jovita Country Club.
 
 
First Round
PALM BEACH, Fla. – The Barry University women’s golf team is currently third out of an 18-team field at the NSU Shark Invitational hosted by Nova Southeastern. The Buccaneers fired an opening round score of 311 (+23) on the 6,000 yard, par 72 PGA National Course.
 
Four out of the top five teams in the tournament hail from the Sunshine State Conference led by host Nova Southeastern (+11) and Rollins (+11) with opening round 299 scores. Barry’s is currently third, while Florida Southern (+24) finished fourth with a first-round score of 312. Ferris State (+32) rounded out the top five after carding an opening round score of 320.
 
Johanna Soderstrom finished with an opening round score of 74 (+2) and tied for fourth out of 88 individuals to lead the Buccaneers. RemiJin Camping finished one stroke back with a first-round 75 (+3) score and tied for seventh. Both Anna Haglind and Cristina Coll carded identical opening round 81 scores (+9) and finished T34, while Isadora Stapff (+13) rounded out the Barry team score with an 85 and T53.
 
Birmingham Southern’s Jordan Hardy finished at one-under in the first round with a 71 and is the current individual leader.
 
The women’s will tee off with on the final 18 holes at 8:30 am on Tuesday, Oct. 16.
