TAMPA, Fla.—The Barry University women’s soccer team fell 6-0 to the third-ranked Tampa Spartans at Pepin Stadium on Saturday night.
 
The Spartans scored four goals in the first half, including one from Alison Penland from Courtney Evans at the 1:29 mark, and added two more in the second half.
 
Kelly Tryson had nine saves for the Buccaneers (6-9-0, 1-6-0 SSC), while Shannon Aitken had two to preserve the shutout for the Spartans (13-2-1, 5-1-0 SSC).
 
The Bucs face St. Thomas on Wednesday, Oct. 24 and close the season on Saturday, Oct. 27 against Saint Leo.
