MIAMI SHORES, Fla.—The Barry men’s tennis team crushed the NAIA #15-ranked Northwood Seahawks 9-0 on Friday at the Buccaneer Tennis Center.
 
The Bucs swept through the doubles, losing just five games. Roman Werschel and Ales Svigelj defeated Jose Castro and Andreas Parschau 8-3 at number one. The Bucs won 8-1 decisions at two and three.
 
In singles, it was more of the same. Werschel made short work of Gabriel Cernea 6-0, 6-1 at the top flight. Andrew Sharnov had the closest match at number two, beating Parschau 7-5, 6-4. Ronald Fletcher won his first start 6-0, 6-2 over Jonathan Evans at number six.
 
The Bucs will host the Brandeis Judges on Sunday, Feb. 24 at 11:00 am in their next outing.
