NEW YORK -- Barry University women's golf is ranked No. 3 in the GolfWorld/Women's Golf Coaches Association NCAA Division II national poll released Thursday.
The Buccaneers, coming off a win in their final fall tournament, moved up one spot in the poll from last month.
Nova Southeastern remained No. 1 in the rankings, followed by St. Edward's, which received one first-place vote. The Sharks collected 18 first-place votes and 474 points. St. Edwards had 410 points, and Barry 390.
Rollins is ranked fourth with 384 points and Florida Southern fifth with 378. Lynn, Tarleton State, Grand Canyon, Midwestern State and California-Pennsylvania and Saint Leo rounded out the top 10. Cal-Penn and the Lions tied for 10th.
Seven teams from the Sunshine State Conference are ranked in the top 12, with Florida Tech filing in right after Saint Leo.
Barry is off for the remainder of the fall, but will break out the clubs to start the spring season at the Tusculum Intercollegiate in Kiawah Island, S.C., Feb. 2-3.
