Update from the Director of Public Safety

Public Safety, in our efforts during the Domestic Violence week, received and donated 106 cell phones that will go to the organization No More Tears. In the future if you would like to donate cell phones to this organization please stop by our Crime Prevention office locate at Thompson Hall 111.

We would like to thank John Roper, our investigations/training coordinator, for all the work that he has done for our department and the University - we wish him well in his next endeavor. Doug Ressler will be the new investigations/training coordinator. Doug comes with over 30 years of law enforcement experience.

We would like to remind all Barry Community members to please make sure that you are parking your vehicle inside the Barry property and respecting our boarding neighbors by not parking on the swales and lawns of other people’s property.

Barry University reminds its students, faculty, staff and visitors that continued caution and vigilance are necessary components of your own personal safety and the safety of all in the Barry community. We encourage all to report crimes and/or suspicious behavior to Public Safety by calling 305-899-3333 or visiting www.barry.edu/publicsafety/silentwitness.htm, a confidential way of providing information via Barry's website.

Keep up-to-date on campus safety by checking out our weekly updates on Bucwis and Barry News. For more information about Barry's Public Safety Department, visit http://bucwis.barry.edu/publicSafety/.
