MIAMI SHORES, Fla.—Megan Copeland was named to the All-South Region team in the CoSIDA/Capital One Academic program.
The Buccaneer sophomore carries a 3.65 GPA in finance. She is one of nine Sunshine State Conference players on the 12-player team.
Copeland, the 2013 SSC Freshman of the Year, had another outstanding season. She hit .350 with 39 runs scored and 14 stolen bases in 16 attempts. She also walked 20 times against only eight strikeouts for a .435 on-base percentage.
The members of the All-Region team advance to the national ballot. Softball Academic All-Americans will be released on May 21.
