Students enrolled in Introduction to Journalism at Barry have created a showcase of reports about Latino/Latina/Latinx visual artists whose work calls attention to social issues or celebrates Latino culture in the United States. Student work will be shown alongside a presentation on Assistant Professor Mariely Llopis, PhD’s new book, Reporting Immigration Conflict: Opportunities for Peace Journalism. A chapter in the book is dedicated to research Professor Llopis conducted with historical artifacts preserved with the Barry University’s Archives and Special collections. Join us at the museum for these enriching presentations.
