On Friday, May 6, more than 150 Barry University students were awarded for their achievements in academics, leadership and service during the university’s annual Honors Convocation. During the ceremony, which took place at 2 p.m. in the Cor Jesu Chapel, faculty and deans from each of the university’s seven colleges and schools recognized exceptional students with Dean’s Awards, the St. Catherine Medal, honor society recognitions and writing and scholarship awards.
Hosted by the Honors Committee of the Faculty Senate, the Honors Convocation also reflects the Barry mission by also recognizing students’ community service and professional and spiritual development.
