Phill Johnson Named Associate Dean for Information Services

Orlando, Fla. – Phill Johnson has been named associate dean for information services at the Barry University Dwayne O. Andreas School of Law. In his role, Johnson will oversee all aspects of operation of the Barry Law Library.

Johnson joins Barry Law School from University of Missouri – Kansas City School of Law where he served as associate director of the law library and director of electronic services and communications since 2004. He also has previous experience in the law libraries at the University of Illinois College of Law and Washburn University School of Law.

Johnson holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Missouri Southern State University, a Juris Doctor from Washburn University, and Master of Library and Information Science from the University of Illinois.

“Phill’s extensive background and experience in library management and administration will be an immediate asset to Barry Law School and our students and faculty,” said Leticia M. Diaz, dean of the Barry Law School. “He and the library staff will ensure exceptional library services to support the school’s teaching, learning and research.”

Johnson started in his position at Barry Law School on June 13.
