Perfusion Week is April 29 – May 3
Organized by the American Society of ExtraCorporeal Technology (AmSECT), Perfusion Week is an annual celebration of the positive impact that perfusionists have on the lives of cardiac patients. This year’s theme, "Saving Lives Is a Work of Heart," honors the dedication and skill required to be a perfusionist.
Over the past decade there has been a drastic increase in heart surgery and other cardiac procedures. Perfusion is growing in importance, and it is time to recognize perfusionists for their contribution to the operating room and patient health.
