Making the most of his education, faculty mentorships and science degree from Barry University, Dr. Adauri Soprani is succeeding as an oral surgeon in Danbury, Conn.
“I’m happy today because I do what I love,” Dr. Soprani said. “Barry University helped lay the foundation and allowed me to do all my basic sciences at a much faster pace.” After completing his Bachelor of Science in Chemistry after just two and half years, he graduated Cum Laude in 2008 and enrolled in New York University’s College of Dentistry.
Barry students are “very well trained to go to graduate school, which I didn’t know until I got there.”
That doesn’t mean it’s an easy road, Dr. Soprani said. “Be diligent – it doesn’t matter which career you pursue. You have to work hard and believe in yourself.”
Professional Accolades
Dr. Soprani was recently named Top Dental Pro in Danbury for his research on treating patients with combination implant dentistry and Invisalign® braces. He’s already treated about 30 people in just his first year at AJ Dental Group, the practice he owns and operates.
“Without Barry University, I wouldn’t be here. All the mentors made a huge difference in my life. When I had a question, all I had to do was knock on their door,” Dr. Soprani said. In contrast, in graduate school he had to make an appointment and wait one to two weeks to speak with a professor.
