About the Panel Discussion

Music historian and writer Eloy Cepero, Eloísa Echazábal from Miami Dade College, and Marcos Kerbel, former chairman of the board and past president of the Cuban Hebrew Congregation of Miami Inc., will discuss their Pedro Pan experiences from different spiritual perspectives (Protestant, Catholic, and Jewish). Dr. Heidi Heft LaPorte, associate professor of social work, will moderate the discussion.

This event kicks off “Cuba: So Close, Yet So Far,” a series of panel discussions and film screenings that explore Cuban history and contemporary life on the island. If you have any questions, please email Dr. Beatriz Calvo-Peña at bcalvo-pena@barry.edu.
