The Executive Leadership Forum was created to serve as a venue for sharing practical business knowledge. Select leaders from the business community are invited to engage in a dialogue regarding their perspectives on leadership and the everyday challenges they face.
Our fifth guest to the Executive Leadership Forum is Hector J. Ponte, Community Bank President for Wells Fargo’s county line district of North Miami-Dade and South Broward.

In this role, Ponte manages the strategic initiatives of Wells Fargo Community Banking which encompasses over 40 banking stores and 800 team members. With more than 25 years of financial services industry experience, Ponte has been in his current position since 2009. He began his career as a part-time teller with Florida National Bank in 1986, and has been promoted throughout his career to Teller Supervisor, Service Manager, Branch Manager, Customer Relations Leader, Sales Leader, Service Director and Wachovia At Work Director.
A South Florida native, Ponte is very active in the local community. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of March of Dimes/Miami-Dade, and he is the treasurer of the Miami-Dade Public Education Fund.
Ponte also chairs the South Florida Wells Fargo Volunteers Chapter, which participates in community support projects across Broward, Miami-Dade, and Palm Beach counties. He is a graduate of Miami-Dade College and is fluent in Spanish.
