Jodi-Ann Browning-Bent, biology major and Minority Biomedical Research Support - Research Initiative for Scientific Enhancement (MBRS RISE) student, received an award for her poster presentation at the national Annual Biomedical Research Conference for Minority Students (ABRCMS), held Nov. 9 through 11 in St. Louis, MO.
Jodi conducted the research at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, WI summer 2011. She investigated marten (M. americana and M. caurina) population distribution via DNA analysis.
Seven Barry MARC and RISE students were among the 3,300 attendees and presented 6 of the 1,400 poster presentations. Students were mentored by Dr Bingham and Dr Redway.
