Human Resources Hosted Administrative Professional’s Day

Human Resources Hosted Administrative Professional’s Day

On Wednesday, April 23rd, the Division of Human Resources hosted a breakfast to recognize Barry’s administrative professionals and thank them for their dedication and hard work.

This year’s theme was “Innovation and Change-A Recipe for Success.”

Guest speaker and Barry University ECA member Yvette Brown spoke to administrative professionals about how innovation and change are necessary ingredients to successfully navigate and compete in a constantly changing work environment.

She also spoke about how Information Technology plays a role in the future of University life. Brown’s commitment to the university is to innovate with technology in ways that make a real difference for employees.

Additionally, another important matter to Brown is technology used in ways that uncover and solve the day to day challenges within departments and divisions—including ways that reduce paperwork and streamline processes.

The presentation ended with some exciting information about Idea Share; a forum that allows users to enter their ideas, vote on existing ideas, or add comments to ideas that have been submitted by other users.

The Division of Human Resources is very appreciative of the hard work and dedication of our Administrative Professionals and of the various colleges, schools, and departments that supported and contributed donations for door prizes.
