MIAMI SHORES, Fla. -- Barry University sophomore women's tennis player Karina Goia earned Capital One NCAA Division II At-Large Academic All-District honors as voted on by the College Sports Information Directors of America.
Goia, of Arad, Romania, has a 3.9 grade point average in international business.
On the court, she is 15-0 in singles, and owns the No. 9 national ranking. She is 22-3 in doubles.
She and the No. 1 Buccaneers advanced to Friday's 9 a.m. NCAA semifinals against No. 5 Hawai'i Pacific.
