MIAMI SHORES, Fla. (Sept. 1, 2016) — Barry University’s College of Nursing and Health Sciences and Baptist Health South Florida are partnering to offer 60 nursing students in the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program a scholarship while enrolled at Barry University. The two organizations have been partnering to offer student scholarships for the past 10 years.
The Barry Baptist Bond (B3) Scholars Program, which begins in the fall and spring semesters, will award students accepted into the program $20,000 towards tuition as well as an opportunity for employment upon graduation. The scholarship will be spread out over six semesters — the length of the B3 Scholars Program — and classes are offered at Baptist Hospital in Kendall.
The scholarships are available to juniors and seniors who have been accepted and are enrolled in Barry’s BSN program — this includes current Barry students as well as transfer students. Once accepted into Barry’s BSN program, students can then apply to the B3 program.
