Barry University’s Athletic Training Program alumni are “making health personal” at Miami International Airport (MIA) since 2017. Work-Fit LLC, a division of Alliance Physical Therapy Partner’s based in Grand Rapids, Michigan has hired 4 Barry University alums as part of an injury prevention program for a large commercial airline company at MIA. Work-Fit has been hiring certified athletic trainers in the industrial setting for more than 25 years.
Mosi Blake class of 2000, is the Program Manager is joined by team members Jessica Mora Nurquez class of 1995, Anyelit Sequera class of 2016 and Terrie Constant class of 2017. Work-Fit’s mission is “making health personal” by reducing and preventing injuries through proactive services. These certified athletic trainers have the daily responsibility of the care and prevention of musculoskeletal disorders of the employees by providing on-site OSHA first level of care, ergonomics, educating employees on different health and wellness topics, leading pre-shift warm-ups, micro-breaks and other injury prevention services.
