SEPT. 2, NOON — Barry University, including all campuses and locations, remains closed due to Hurricane Dorian and will remain closed at a minimum through Wednesday, Sept. 4. While there are no new updates to report at this time, Barry University’s Emergency Management Team continues to monitor the path of Hurricane Dorian and will provide updates as new information becomes available.
Due to the unpredictability of this major storm, all decisions are being made on a day-by-day basis. The safety of our students, faculty and staff remain our top priority. We continue to extend our thoughts and prayers for the safety of all those who are in the path of the storm.
According to the National Hurricane Center, Hurricane Dorian may make landfall in Florida on Tuesday as a Category 4 storm. Once the storm has passed, our Emergency Management Team will reassess the situation to determine when the University will reopen. Communication will be sent out to all students, faculty, and staff notifying them of when University operations will resume.
Official University communication regarding Dorian will be made via emails, RAVE (text, voice & email), Facebook, Twitter, and University internal and external websites.
