Annual Halloween Trick-or-Treat

Annual Halloween Trick-or-Treat

Halloween is here again, and Barry University would like to help the children in our community celebrate this event with our annual Trick-or-Treat on campus. Once again, we need your help.

We are looking for volunteers to pass out candy at various stations on campus. Due to the feedback we received from our community members, we will be having three or four centralized stations around Andreas, Thompson and Landon as the children had some difficulties last year moving across campus in their costumes. This may mean having a representative from your department/organization at the centralized location. Any assistance in this endeavor is much appreciated.

We are encouraging faculty and staff to join in on the festivities by dressing up! Housing and Residence Life will provide the candy to those office/departments interested in participating.  We would highly encourage departments if possible, to stay open later than five as many parents cannot arrive home and bring their children before 5 PM.  If a department cannot stay open later than five but would still like to participate, we will still love to have you give out candy.

Halloween Trick-or-Treat 2019 will be held on Thursday, Oct. 31 from 3-7 p.m. Hosting this event on our campus will allow us to provide a safe space for children to be themselves in their costumes as they celebrate Halloween.

Let’s make this event a great time for the children in our community.

If you would like to participate or need additional information, please email Residence Coordinator Aric Werkheiser at awerkheiser@barry.edu.  Please let us know if you can stay open later, past five or if five your office will be closing.  Thank you.
