Congratulations to our Student Leader of the Month, Mario Romero! Mario is a senior in the biology program. He is an intern at both International Orthopaedic Specialists and South Florida Dermatology. He is also a licensed emergency medical technician who spent a year working for American Ambulance during his studies.
Mario is very active on campus as well. He is a biology tutor and teaching assistant, an undergraduate research assistant in Dr. Stephanie Bingham’s research lab, and treasurer of the Minority Association of Pre-Health Students. He is also a member of multiple honor societies, such as The National Honor Society of Leadership and Success, Pi Eta Sigma National Honor Society, Beta Beta Beta Honor Society, and Alpha Sigma Pi Honor Society. Mario plans to attend medical school after graduating from Barry.
