Barry University emphasizes the social responsibility of all members to strive for equality and engage in meaningful efforts toward social change. Barry’s Pride Week is celebrated in October in honor of National Coming Out Day and is a time to recognize the contributions of LGBTQ+ Americans and raise awareness about efforts for equal justice and equal opportunity for the LGBTQ+ community.
