Business students inducted into honor societies

Barry University's Andreas School of Business students were recently inducted into two honor societies for their academic successes; Beta Gamma Sigma and the Financial Management Association.

Raul Ballester, Emma Dunlap, Brent Hursey-McLaughlin, Ayunahi Quian Medina, Aygun Suleymanova, Steven Torrisi and Elidjona Zace were all inducted into Beta Gamma Sigma. It is the international honor society serving business programs accredited by AACSB International - The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business. Membership in Beta Gamma Sigma is the highest recognition a business student anywhere in the world can receive in a business program accredited by AACSB International.

The Financial Management Association International Honor Society recognizes scholastic achievement through induction of students who have demonstrated superior scholarship. Individuals accepted for membership in the Honor Society have the distinction of belonging to the only international honorary which specifically recognizes the achievement of finance majors who demonstrate their expertise in the areas of financial economics and decision making. Its new members are Asifa Ackbarali, Bob Chu, Maria Clark, Sean Cooney, Gina Cosculluela, Karen Guevara, Schenelle John, Nicole Moscarelli, Yanill Orozco, Tiffany Wells and Elidjona Zace.
