MIAMI SHORES, Fla.—The Barry University men’s golf team fared well in individual play at the Wildcat Invitational on Tuesday.
After a strong first round, Jaime Rodriguez fired an even par 70, good for sixth overall for the tournament. Berry Jole also shot even par in the second round and finished in 29th, seven shots back of the co-leaders Jordan Meltzer and Jordan Carpenter who both finished three under par.
John Yu stumbled in the second round and shot a 79 as he finished in 29th while Roberto Cacho finished in 60th place after a second round 77.
The Buccaneers will compete next at the Matlock Invitational in Lakeland, FL on Feb. 13th and 14th.
Men's Golf Competes At Wildcat Invitational
MIAMI SHORES, Fla.—Four members of Barry University men’s golf team competed at the Johnson and Wales Wildcat Invitational held at the Miami Shores Country Club on Monday.
Jordan Meltzer, and Jason Harris from Johnson and Wales as well as Elrick Van Eck from Northwood (FL) University currently lead the field after posting a -3 (67) on Monday.
John Yu and Jaime Rodriguez paced the Buccaneers by shooting a one over 71, good for ninth in a field of 71.
Berry Jole shot a 74 and currently stands in 29th place while Roberto Cacho finished with a 79 after one round of play. The Bucs will look to wrap-up play at the Wildcat Invitational today bringing their fall portion of the schedule to an end.
