The Barry University Student Chapter of the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM) was selected as one of the ten Outstanding Student Chapter Award winners for the 2007-2008 academic year. The award was presented on Saturday, June 21, 2008, at the SHRM Annual Conference in Chicago, Illinois. Chapters receiving the SHRM award included:

Barry’s Student Chapter was also one of 67 to receive a Superior Merit Award, competing against 450 active student chapters for this honor.
Barry University's School of Adult and Continuing Education offers the Human Resources Specialization (Bachelor of Professional Studies) and Post-Baccalaureate Human Resources Certificate programs at many locations throughout Florida.
