Nuclear Medicine Program students recognized with merit awards for clinical internship work

Congratulations to this year’s graduates of Allied Health Profession Program’s Nuclear Medicine Program. Students Jennifer Airado, Erich Chervenak, Kristin Fornaris, Lissette Gonzalez, and Jeremy James have recently completed their 15-month clinical internship at Jackson Memorial Hospital and were recognized for their achievements in the following categories:

Merit Awards:

Mallinckrodt Award: (most prestigious award for Outstanding Graduate)
Jeremy James (GPA above 3.5)

Outstanding Clinical Performance:
Kristin Fornaris (GPA above 3.4)

These students will go on to take the NMTCB Registry exam to become certified as Nuclear Medicine Technologists. Upon receiving their certification, these students will earn a B.S. degree in Clinical Biology with a specialization in Nuclear Medicine Technology.

Barry students completing their internships at Jackson have a 100 percent pass rate on their registry exams, exceeding the national average.
