Human Resources hosts Open Enrollment Meetings

Attention all benefit eligible faculty and staff,

Our benefit plans through ICUBA will renew again on April 1, 2011 for a twelve month period. Referring to the “Premium Chart” below, you will see the employee’s portion of the monthly premium contribution, effective April 1, 2011 for the four ICUBA health insurance plans.

Our insurance coverage will remain the same - Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO/Options physician networks; Walgreens Health Initiatives (WHI) as the pharmacy provider; Humana for dental coverage; Advantica for vision coverage. There are no changes in the employee’s portion of the monthly premium contribution for the dental and vision insurance plans and the HRA contributions will remain the same. In addition, this is also the open enrollment period for our Voluntary Life Insurance plans through UNUM.

It is important to attend one of the scheduled open enrollment meetings to learn about the upcoming changes for this plan year.

Open Enrollment Meeting Schedule:

Monday, Feb. 7th:

9:30 a.m.- 11 a.m. - Andreas 111
1:30 - 3 p.m. -  Andreas 111
6:30 - 8 p.m. -  Gato Gallery

Tuesday, Feb. 8th:

9:30 - 11 a.m. - Andreas 111
1:30 - 3 p.m. -  Andreas 111 (Spanish Only)

Wednesday, Feb. 9th (Orlando Law Campus)

8:30 -10 a.m.
10:30 a.m.- 12 p.m.
1:30 - 3 p.m.

The Open Enrollment period to make changes to benefits will be from Monday, Feb. 7, through Friday, March 4. All employees who elect to make changes or wish to participate in the Flexible Spending Account (FSA) for the upcoming plan year must do so by enrolling on-line at http://www.benefitsolver.com.  

Please be aware if you do not make selections within the designated open enrollment period, no exceptions can be made and your current plans will remain in effect. (This does not include the Flexible Spending Account because you must make an annual election.)

Video streaming will be available to the off campus locations on Monday, February 7th from 9:30am-11:00am. The link to view the video stream will be http://stream.barry.edu/live.aspx If you are unable to view during this time it will be available via webcast approximately two days following the meeting and will be available for the remainder of the open enrollment period.
