Over the past few weeks, we’ve slowly been rolling out our new Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) platform to groups on campus. On January 19th we will start turning the feature on for the rest of campus. MFA improves account protection by requiring additional types of credentials to verify your identity. It can prevent unauthorized access to your account even if your password was compromised.
Once MFA is turned on, when you visit online resources such as Workday, Canvas or E-mail, you’ll be required to enter your username and password, and another verification option of your choice listed below.
- Challenge Questions and Answers
- Email Verification Code
- SMS Verification Code
- Authenticator Verification Code
Information on how to manage your MFA and Account Recovery options is available on our support site. It is imperative you review and update these options before MFA is turned on to prevent an interruption of access to online resources.
The feature will be turned on for the rest of campus on the following dates.
